Week 5: St. Louis Rams 34, Jacksonville Jaguars 20- Post Game Thoughts

As if the Jags didn’t have enough problems to deal with this year, now they have to cope with the season loss of their first round pick Luke Joeckel.  I guess the positive from this game was the return of Justin Blackmon.  His return was felt immediately in the first quarter when he found the end zone on the back end of a 67 yard touchdown pass from Blaine Gabbert (who got hurt again in this game).  An 82 yard pick-six from Matt Giordano got the Rams on the board in the first quarter of this one, and later on Sam Bradford hit Austin Pettis for a couple of touchdowns as well as Lance Kendricks in a solid win for St. Louis.  Zac Stacy toted the rock 14 times for 78 yards in this game.  The running game is something that the Rams have struggled to get going on the season, so perhaps the team will opt to give the rookie some more touches in the coming weeks.  As for the Jaguars, it appears as if their best option at quarterback is going to be Chad Henne until the end of this season.  There is little doubt that Jags will target a quarterback in the 2014 draft, since the franchise is in need of something to hang their hat on at that position.
