Who else was impressed with what the Bengals defense did to the New England offense in this game? The Cincy “D” held the Patriots without a touchdown (which, in effect, snapped Tom Brady’s streak of games with a touchdown pass at 52). This is the first time the Pats have been barred out of the end zone since Week 2 of the 2009 season. Adam Jones was the hero of the game, intercepting Brady with just 16 seconds left in the game. The Bengals were able to drop the New England quarterback four times, and they contained the Patriots’ running game allowing only 82 yards in that department. A terrific defensive performance was squandered by the Pats on the road as well. That unit has been superb this year and they deserved much better than a loss this week if you ask me. And if you were wondering, BenJarvus Green-Ellis ran for a touchdown against his former team; a touchdown that proved to be the difference in the game.
