The Cowboys took part in their second straight overtime game in front of their fans at home. Unfortunately for them, they could not withstand the New Orleans Saints’ offensive fireworks and they took the heart-breaking loss. The game turned out to be another one that required a miracle Tony Romo comeback, and he did enough to send it to an extra frame. Dez Bryant came up huge thoughout (with a pair of 58 yard touchdowns), but it was Miles Austin who tied the game up with :15 left in regulation. Drew Brees ate the Dallas defense alive when he threw for a monster 446 yards and three touchdowns. He looks to be back on track, which means bad news when Sean Peyton makes a return to his team next season. You get the feeling that if the Cowboys are able to sneak into the playoffs that they could be a team that would give opponents quite a bit of trouble. There is almost no lead that is safe when Romo is on the field and their defense can take over a game. They will need a win over Washington next week to get in, and if they do they have a chance to go on a New York Giants-type of a run.
